Our Contribution: Nelson Scientific Labs conducted integrated proteomic and metabolomic profiling of longitudinal blood samples from prostate cancer patients undergoing stereotactic body radiation therapy. We applied multivariate and pathway-based analyses to identify treatment-associated molecular signatures.
Key Findings: Radiotherapy triggered a consistent innate immune activation signature across patients, revealing coordinated proteomic and metabolic changes over time.
Research Impact: This work provides one of the first integrated longitudinal molecular datasets describing systemic immune responses to radiotherapy and informs future strategies combining radiation with immunotherapy.
